Quebec cannabis producer Cannara Biotech has issued a product recall for their Nugz Old School Hash (Cuban Linx) cannabis extract, sold through the Ontario Cannabis Store and through authorized retailers in Ontario.
The recall is due to incorrectly labelled cannabinoid values. The CBD and Total CBD declared on the label are higher than the actual CBD and Total CBD in the product. The THC and Total THC declared on the label are accurate.
The CBD is listed as being 43.6 mg/g (Total CBD: 9.7%) while the real amount should be 0.0 CBD. The THC is listed as 40%.
To date, Cannara Biotech Inc. has received one complaint related to the incorrect cannabinoid values on the product label, and Health Canada has not received any complaints related to the recalled lot. Neither Health Canada nor Cannara Biotech Inc. has received any adverse reaction reports for the recalled cannabis product lot.
There were 1,836 units of the 2-gram recalled product sold between August 8, 2022 and September 14, 2022 under Lot 900342501.
Health Canada says consumers should verify whether their product is affected and if a consumer wishes to return the affected product, instructs them to contact the retail store where the product was purchased.
Health Canada also reminds Canadians to report any health or safety complaints related to the use of this cannabis product or any other cannabis product by filling out the online complaint form.
