Likely no stranger to the munchies, actor, comedian and committed cannabis consumer Cheech Marin is looking to sate that pang virtually.

Claiming to be the first of its kind, the idea is simple: stoner food for stoners.

Among the mouth-watering menu options — which double down on marijuana-themed monikers like Work Daze, Pack a Bowl, Night Sesh and Dope Dumplings — are smoked brisket tacos, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken and scallion-stuffed fried dumplings and barbecue chicken macaroni and cheese nachos, according to Benzinga and QSR Magazine.

One Reddit commenter appeared all-in: “Sounds good. We need something to compete against the giants,” the post reads.

McKinsey & Company reports that the “food delivery has become a global market worth more than US$150 billion ($187.5 billion), having more than tripled since 2017.”

In the U.S., COVID-19 revved up the trend considerably, with figures showing the market more than doubled during the pandemic, “following healthy historical growth of eight per cent.”

It would seem the love of weed and the love of home delivery is a perfect match.

Indeed, Colorado-headquartered BDSA reported last fall that global cannabis sales surged 41 per cent in 2021 compared to a year earlier. The company’s projection was that sales would surpass US$62 billion ($77.5 billion) by 2026.

Last November, CTV News noted that Ontarians of legal age could now order cannabis flower and accessories through Uber Eats as part of its partnership with Tokyo Smoke.
