A new ad featuring cannabis social tonic maker Cann, which has attracted investment support from A-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow, offers plenty of holiday cheer as Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson and former NBA star Baron Davis wonder if they can still party like they used to.

Understanding that the star of Almost Famous, who is preparing her home for a holiday party, might be stressed out, Davis suggests she might be in need of a drink… or two.

His recommendation for an evening of fun is Cann’s Cranberry Sage, which has two milligrams of THC. As his back is turned for just a moment, Hudson emerges with a rolling tray full of Spiked Cann and King Street vodka, her vodka brand.

As the two tilt glasses filled with a combination of the two beverages, Davis asks: “Do you still think we can party this hard?” Hudson gently, but knowingly, responds: “Oh, Baron. We were born to party.”

The ensuing “party” — complete with many crafting tables — involves dancing, wrapping, dressing up, an enthusiastic high-five, listening to music (always with a drink in hand) and a visit from a pint-sized Darren Criss, dressed as an elf.

Criss’ new single, Christmas Dance, serves as the soundtrack for the whole video, Variety reports.

In an email to Forbes, Hudson notes: “Most people don’t know that Baron and I were good friends in high school, so it’s exciting to share that and have fun with him on screen!”

All the partying finally ends when Hudson, sitting on Davis shoulders so she can place a star on the tall Christmas tree, wonders: “How did I get so high?”

Cann’s website notes its social tonic offerings are “microdosed with cannabis that gives you a light and uplifted buzz, but has no hangover, fewer empty calories, all-natural ingredients, and no regrets.”

“Cann, in particular, is trying to tear down these antiquated notions of getting super-duper high, but rather having cannabis be something that’s much more laced in day-to-day life, in luxury,” Criss, another investor in the social tonic company, tells Variety.

The cannabis-infused beverages are available in some U.S. states, including California, Nevada, Rhode Island, Illinois and Massachusetts, per Forbes .

The gift of booze and weed tonic may become a tradition for Hudson, who last year made sure all her pals had both her vodka and cannabis-infused beverages from Cann, according to Page Six.
