Jessica Eadie is Director of Quality at Woody Nelson Inc., a growing cannabis startup based in beautiful Nelson, British Columbia. With over 15 years of experience in quality assurance, wellness and team leadership, Jessica is a key player in the creation of the QMS, product development, development of new systems (validation), continuous improvement, training, best practices, and regulatory compliance. Having enjoyed a lifelong interest in science and technology, Jessica earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba before going on to complete an Advanced Diploma in QA/QC in the Pharmaceutical Industry from Red River College Polytechnic. She holds numerous certifications in quality management, auditing, GMP, Food Safety/HARPC and pharmaceutical quality standards, and is passionate about her work. Prior to entering the cannabis industry, Jessica gained experience in the food industry poultry slaughter to tray-pack (SQF, BRC, CFIA regulated, HACCP Certified), pet food manufacturing (HACCP Certified), and medical devices (ISO 13485) sectors. She enjoys being able to see the direct impact her work makes on the wellbeing of customers and patients.
