Laura has a diverse background in sales, marketing, HR, and operations management. Coming from corporate environments with high standards, such as Whole Foods Market, Boston Pizza Intl., and TD, Laura has applied the same standards to her work in the cannabis industry. Laura began her journey at Indiva Inc. as Director of Sales and Marketing and worked as a member of the team when they became a publicly traded company.
Laura thrives when she works with companies to align their goals with their strategic plans. She is always looking for new opportunities to share her creative abilities. Currently, Laura is the Executive Director of Operations at Reelax Pet Sciences, a start-up company that specializes in pet supplements and manages 2,000 acres of hemp farms.
The Bend Cannabis Co., the first cannabis retail store in Lambton County, has been flourishing in the growing beach town of Grand Bend, ON. Despite the challenges of increasing competition, Laura has found a unique way to service her clients and be embraced by the community. In the spring of 2021, Laura opened Behind The Bend Café and Lounge – a recreational consumption café that is one of the first to operate under existing regulations. She is eager to see other consumption lounges open, in the pursuit of bringing about a paradigm shift to normalizing cannabis consumption.
