Shannon Hope’s career began as a professional ice hockey player for the Cardiff Devils and he went on to captain Great Britain in international competition leading the team to the Pool A World Championships in 1994. Shannon was recognized for his contribution to his team and country with having his shirt retired in Cardiff and being inducted into the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1999. After hanging up his skates, Shannon carried on with his involvement with hockey and Cardiff, taking on a front office role as Director of Hockey. During his playing career, Shannon created his own merchandise brand and company which designed and manufactured for corporate clients and sporting organizations, including Adidas Europe.
With these roles, Shannon gained extensive business development experience in addition to establishing a substantial network of commercial relationships.
Shannon quickly adapted his skills and experience to the cannabis industry, and he has built up a large network across North America and Europe, including a team of specialists, and is able to consult on all aspects of the seed to sale including EUGMP cannabis. Shannon is currently Head of Product Procurement for Cannaray Limited, one of Europe’s largest cannabis companies, based out of London, England.
Shannon is also Managing Director of Kapkom Securities based in Canada, which is part of a global network of Kapkom companies, led by a team of British special forces veterans, that consults for the special forces community and also commercial clients. The Kapkom group specializes in leading edge communication technology and security platforms and sensor control for EUGMP facilities.
