With an MBA and more than seven years of experience as a management consultant, he brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive skills in managing the challenges of growing businesses.
Ashton has been a university lecturer on project management and business and more recently led the strategy and execution of a multi-million euro international business development initiative that quadrupled the business turnover in less than three years.
His twenty years of experience in strategy development and implementation, business development, and business operations management alongside his entrepreneurial background, and cross-border experience have led to co-founding Sigma Analytical Services in 2017 and leading it to become a trailblazer and key opinion leader in cannabis testing and research in North and Central America.
With nearly a decade of experience in cultivation, Egle Adomaityte is a leader in managing multi-scale growing operations. Currently, Egle serves as Director of Cultivation for Indiva, a London-based licensed producer of premium cannabis. In this role, she leads Indiva’s aeroponic grow operation and provides leadership around all areas of the cultivation process. Egle studied international education including studies in economics, biology, and computer science. Prior to joining Indiva, Egle served as Head Grower for Diniro Farms overseeing all aspects of the operation from planting to shipping. After six years in role, she moved to Aphria, now one of Canada’s largest licensed producers of cannabis, to provide leadership as Lead Grower during a time of significant expansions. Her recipe for fertilizer was used in the United States. In 2018, Egle opened her own consulting firm, CannaSole, focused on helping licensed producers achieve high-quality yields with little to no need for irradiation. In addition to her experience as a leader in the cannabis industry, Egle keeps teams focused on reaching top goals, strategic planning, and problem solving in all areas of the workplace.
Daniel got his start in the Cannabis industry in early 2018. In the past year and half he has worked at Terrascend Canada beginning as a Grow Technician and working his way up to Cultivation Coordinator. Which means that in addition to growing, he is the bridge between Cultivation and the rest of the company.
In this short time Daniel has worked hard setting up Terrascend’s ERP system for cultivation, and helping acquire both Sales and GMP licenses.
Prior to joining the industry in 2018, Daniel was living in Israel where he served in the army, and after started a business with a friend. Both his military experience and his time as an entrepreneur challenged and trained Daniel to have a keen eye for optimizing operations and processes.
For more than 20 years Adam has worked in the supply chain industry at a global level, gaining exposure to supply chain and logistics operations across diverse markets. With a strong engineering background, Adam combines his experience in both sales and project engineering to focus on developing automated system solutions in supply chain. Adam collaborates with end-users, distributors, and consultants to develop solutions using a data driven approach with an operations focus that includes current state analysis, operations planning, and strategic/tactical planning. As a Dematic Market Development Director, Adam supports the organization in providing strategic analysis and planning for some of the largest brands in the world.
Michael Dean is widely considered a pioneer in the world of organic fertilizer and natural soil amendments. He founded Gaia Green Products Ltd. with the intent of improving our understanding of the soils we rely on and the impact our management practices have on our food quality and the environment around us. For three decades Gaia Green has supported farmers, home gardeners and professionals throughout the horticultural industry across Canada, with the largest selection of organic fertilizers and natural soil amendments. Gaia Green has been widely used by cannabis growers in the Kootenays of BC and is considered to have profoundly benefited the regions success in this industry.
Michael co-founded the Boundary Organic Producers Association, BOPA, a bioregional organic certification body in the Southern Interior of British Columbia and has supported the development of our Canadian organic standards with regards to allowable fertilizers and soil amendments. He is unwaveringly passionate about integrity and innovation in the organic nutrient market and continues to develop systems and products which are constantly improving Canadian horticulture. His latest innovation, UCann Organics, is specifically designed for cannabis production. Michael recently merged Gaia Green Products Ltd. with Greenstar Plant Products Inc. to share his passion globally.
Georges is a pioneer in the regulated cannabis business in Canada and his company, PipeDreemz Inc., has leveraged his vast knowledge to produce results for their clients. Georges had a lengthy and distinguished career within the high technology sector and now brings his wealth of knowledge to the Cannabis sector. His career spans senior leadership positions in Sales, Security, Customer Care, Marketing, Product Development, Professional Services, and Corporate Development. Georges sits on a number of cannabis company boards and is technical advisor to numerous cannabis companies, providing Industry Knowledge, from regulatory affairs, security, growing, facility design, quality control, product management, marketing, and sales.
Georges has an intimate personal knowledge base of the efficacy of medical marijuana. He chose to use this to create production standards and a reputation throughout the sector as a ‘go to’ source of valued council that is second to none in the industry.
Georges’ discovery of the benefits of medical marijuana was precipitated by an illness in his family in 2001. His resulting passion for growing world-class medical cannabis and making extracts has empowered him to help many patients from the previous Marijuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR) program and gives him great insight into the patient and growing side. His experience as a licensed patient and licensed designated grower under the MMAR has shaped and driven his ambition to grow the best medical cannabis in the world and share his knowledge.
Dr. Brigitte Simons is a quality and regulatory compliance professional with over 20 years experience in pharmaceutical development and analytical clinical testing arenas. Presently, Brigitte is the President and CEO of Safari Flower Co, a craft-at-scale licence cultivator and processor in Niagara, Ontario. She applies this direct business knowledge and quality assurance experience as acting director of Canada’s National C-45 Quality Association. The C-45 Quality Association is a not-4-profit organization that lobbies for QAPs interests for the betterment of setting quality and regulatory standards for the cannabis industry. Brigitte received her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology at the University of Ottawa and a Kellogg-Schulich Executive M.B.A. in operational business strategy.
