Timothy Harvey is the founder and CEO of Lighthouse Genomics Inc., a company providing identity verification and reporting on the genetic characteristics of cannabis varieties. In 2019 Lighthouse Genomics released North America’s most advanced genotype array for cannabis and has compiled a world-class database of cannabis whole genomes, used to supply genetic analysis to clients at an unsurpassed level of accuracy. Harvey is engaged in dialogue with parties worldwide concerning the movement to establish an international convention recognizing breeder’s rights on a genome-by-genome basis. A former craft breeder, Harvey is inspired by the opportunity to make cutting-edge genomic science broadly accessible for the first time to all levels of the Canadian cannabis industry.

Brent’s background in both trading futures and investment consulting has paved the way for his formation of Highwater Financial, LLC. Highwater Financial is a hedge fund and consulting firm focusing on the opportunities specifically within the cannabis industry. Throughout his career, Brent has earned six FINRA Series Certifications – Series 3, 6, 7, 34, 63, and 65. He continues to utilize his financial and strategic expertise and cannabis industry network to expand Highwater Financial in 2019 and beyond.

Larry Dodson

Larry Dodson

As urban-gro’s Chief Technology Officer, Larry is leading the development and deployment of Soleil 360, the next generation of data-driven ambient computing monitoring solutions for controlled environment cultivation. Prior to urban-gro Larry served as the Vice President of Lighting Controls for Fluence Bioengineering. He is an accomplished technology executive with Fortune 100 companies including 20 years with Hewlett-Packard, with roles in software and product development, manufacturing operations, quality, finance and sales. Larry has Bachelor degrees in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering, and an MBA.

Varun Madhok

Varun Madhok

Varun is the founder and CEO of Infer.Green. He leads new product development for stress detection and remediation for cannabis and other cash crops.

Before Infer.Green Varun founded and/or led multiple businesses selling analytical solutions & services into the retail and the insurance sectors. He has had two successful exits. Prior to founding his first company, he worked for IBM Canada, Purdue University’s Multispectral Image Processing Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Varun holds a PhD from Purdue University. He developed new multispectral imaging and computer vision techniques for terrestrial interpretation in his doctoral research.

Mat Vaughn

Mat Vaughn

Mat Vaughan is a Principal Planner with Norfolk County specializing in rural land-use development with a focus on Cannabis land-use policy and on-farm diversified use land-use policy. Mat’s related work includes creating one of Ontario’s first municipal Cannabis Production and Processing Zoning By-Law land-use policy. Mat is also currently enrolled at the University of Waterloo pursuing his PhD in cannabis land use planning.

Keri Wang

Keri Wang

Dr. Keri Wang graduated with Ph.D. degree in molecular plant pathology from the University of Alberta. Dr. Wang has worked on molecular mechanism of plant disease resistance and plant-microbe interactions by functional genomic approaches like virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) and gene expression profiling, functional genomics and microbial ecology of plant growth promotion rhizobacteria, molecular epidemiology and biodiversity of phytoplasma diseases. He has expertise in plant pathology, microbiology, molecular biology, and biotechnology with 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 34 presentations in national and international conferences. He has developed and modified many methods for research and services. Currently, his work covers development and validation of methods for the rapid and sensitive detection, identification and enumeration of foodborne pathogens; plant disease diagnostics; development of attenuated viruses for management of virus and bacterial diseases; isolation and characterization of glyphosate degrading bacteria. Keri has recently reported two new viruses in cannabis, first reported cannabis phytoplasma disease in Canada. More cannabis viruses are being identified in his research.

Greg Patterson

Greg Patterson

Mr. Patterson was one of the principal founding members of A&L Canada and is currently President and CEO and acts as the chief agronomist. His primary role is corporate administration, and customer support and service. Mr. Patterson obtained an honors degree in agriculture from the University of Guelph, in 1978 and has been a professional agronomist for over thirty years. He works closely with all agricultural clients to support the service provided by his company. He was one of the first people in Canada to earn the designate as a Certified Crop Consultant. As part of ongoing customer support he personally conducts in depth agronomy and fertility training seminars for field, horticultural and specialty (Turf, Viticulture, and Silviculture) crops.

Max has been cultivating Cannabis legally for the last 20 years after a childhood stick injury to the eye left him with Glaucoma and a medical marijuana card at the age of 16. Over the last 2 decades he has grown Cannabis in every environment from outdoor to indoor to currently running a 12,000 sq ft commercial greenhouse in Oregon’s Recreational market as Aroma Cannabis.
He is a co-founder/owner of Aroma and currently acts as the Director of Cultivation, marketing and forecast strategist.
Specialties include garden IPM, networking and greenhouse efficiency. Max is an absolute people person and also acts as the facility tour manager to past groups including International Plant Propagation Society(first ever cannabis tour), Oregon Liquor Control Commission for staff training, and many inquisitive people from all over the world.

Mika Unterman

Mika Unterman

A global citizen, Mika has lived, worked and been educated in Israel, the United States and Canada helping to shape her perspective and knowledge of the cannabis industry. Before joining MediPharm Labs in August of 2018, she worked as a trainer/developer in the Tech sector and later at Sail Cannabis where she excelled as a community manager, providing education to medical patients navigating product options and use. Mika is the lead for MediPharm Labs White-label program, researching consumer and product trends, establishing supplier relationships across the country and most recently in commercializing vaporizer products, coordinating across various functions to bring this category to market.
