Matt Graham is a pioneering figure in the cannabis industry, known for his innovative approach to cannabis cultivation and consumer engagement. His journey in the cannabis sector began at Summit Cannabis Co. in Revelstoke, BC, this was the towns first cannabis store. As the general manager there he was instrumental in launching the Flower Bar takeover. This initiative not only transformed the retail experience but also significantly boosted sales by directly connecting customers with the stories and science behind the products through interactions with sales representatives and master growers from various Licensed Producers.

Under Matt’s leadership, the Flower Bar initiative became a benchmark for personalized cannabis retail experiences, showcasing the diversity and quality of cannabis flowers available in the market. This was a very powerful tool to not only help improve sales, but also to help introduce new cultivars to the consumer. His efforts at Summit Cannabis Co. led to him sales that exceeded $1.5 million in cannabis products and accessories, highlighting his prowess in both sales and customer education in his 3 years there.

Since leaving the retail sector, Matt’s passion for cannabis has evolved into a deep commitment to cultivation and genetics. He has acquired an ACMPR license and now operates as a small-batch craft breeder, amassing an impressive collection of over 275 different cannabis cultivars from around the globe. His work in this area is not just about growing cannabis but about preserving and advancing the genetic diversity of the plant, ensuring that the future of cannabis includes a wide array of flavors, effects, and medicinal benefits.

Since 2008, Josee has been building a name for herself as a self-produced professional dance artist, fulfilling a visiting dance artist position at the National Arts Center in 2021- 22. Successfully completing two residencies at the Banff Center for Arts and Creativity, bringing Josee’s long-term project, The Sickness to life on both screen and stage.

In 2019 Josee transitioned to the sovereign cannabis industry as Brand Development Manager for topical wellness company, A K I Wellness, an indigenous-owned and manufactured topical wellness line. Josee also held an additional position as the Community Engagement Manager for the grassroots wholesaler and distributor, Sweetgrass Trading. Josee has help a position as advisory member to CWIC and Co-author to the CWIC (Canadian Women in Cannabis, not-for-profit) submission on Cannabis Act revision recommendations.

In 2021, Josee was included as a cannabis consultant and presenter in the Anishinabek Nation Cannabis Feasibility Study. Josee has been invited by The SprottSchool of Business and Carleton University, several cannabis conventions such as O’cannabis22 and CannExpo23 to discuss the sovereign cannabis industries growth and challenges. Josee currently sits on the Board of Directors as the Advocacy and Policy Advisor to non-for-profit certified cannabis education organization, Educannation. Josee is a trailblazer making her mark in the overall cannabis market as an advocate for sovereignty and indigenous inherent rights to be upheld and respected by the fellow industry.

Melissa’s passion for people, plants, process, and everything dank has lead her to success in her current role of Cultivation Operations Manager at Muskoka Grown. Overseeing the Cultivation department, Melissa works closely with various teams, from the Nursery to Harvest, to plan and refine processes as well as execute facility-wide projects.
