With a degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra, Laura Ramos has been a Journalist since 2000, having worked as a writer and reporter in several News Media.
She was correspondent for the daily newspaper “Jornal de Notícias” in Rome, Italy, where she did her post-graduation studies in Photography. Laura was later a Press Officer at the Ministry of Education’s Office in addition to creating the street-art photographic archive “Say What Lisbon?”.
Co-founder of the newspaper A Folha – Cannabis Culture for Adults in 2008 and CannaPress in 2017, she is currently the director of the news website CannaReporter and the Editor-in-Chief of Cannadouro Magazine, having produced and directed the documentary “Patients”, on the users of medicinal cannabis in Portugal.
She founded PTMC – Portugal Medical Cannabis and coordinated two international conferences that together received more than 1.000 attendees from 27 different nationalities.
Laura was also involved in the organization of the first Post-Graduate Program for Medicinal Cannabis GMP’s in Portugal, in partnership with the Military Laboratory of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon.
