Rob’s passion for retail and business was instilled at a young age, as he grew up in a retail environment working in his family’s business. He pursued this passion by obtaining an MBA from McGill University with a specialization in marketing. Over the course of his career, Rob held various senior management and executive roles at well-known retail chains across Canada including Walmart, Target and Giant Tiger, utilizing his education and experience to drive business growth and success.
Rob’s passion for cannabis led him to become the Vice President of Merchandising, Warehouse and Logistics at Fire & Flower, where he played a crucial role in the company’s growth. Following that, Rob built the Independent Retail Cannabis Council (IRCC) as the Chief Operating Officer, where he successfully advanced the cannabis industry, providing meaningful support to independent cannabis retailers. Currently serving as Vice President of Merchandising and Commercial Planning at Tokyo Smoke, Rob has returned to his retail roots and continues to be actively involved in the growth and evolution of the cannabis industry in Canada.
