Irene Donohue is both a Medical Cannabis patient and Certified Educator who has spent the last ten years researching, learning and practicing medical cannabis therapy. Irene is certified as a Cannabis Educator in both Canada and the USA, along with additional certifications in Natural Cosmetic Formulating, Practical Cosmetic Formulating as well as Cosmetic Raw Materials. Irene is the Founder of Medical Cannabis Concierge Services. In 2014, she obtained her MMPR (later ACMPR), a license to grow cannabis for medical purposes, and has since been growing in both personal and designated grow categories. Irene has been involved with pre-legalization round tables, worked with Keystone Labs in the development of cannabis oil testing kits, collaborated with the UofA chemistry department for research included in a published presentation. She currently sits on Alberta Health Services Provincial Advisory Council to Seniors and Continuing Care, and has collaborated with Policy and Procedures division in regards to cannabis in continuing care. Irene has developed a pain relieving topical, then secured a B2B deal with a provincial LP for retail distribution. MCCS empowers seniors with knowledge to make informed decisions about cannabis use for health and wellness through educational presentations as well as private consultations where individual consumption and dosing strategies for therapeutic purposes are implemented. Irene lives on an acreage in Central Alberta with her husband, Mark. Along with Cannabis, Irene’s passions include; golfing, gardening and her 10 grandkids.
