Chemical surface disinfectants are a key element of the biosecurity programs in licensed producer facilities. While biocidal efficacy and spectrum of activity are arguably the main factors in chemical disinfectant selection, other factors are being increasingly taken into consideration. These factors include occupational safety profile, compatibility with surface materials, simplicity and ease of proper use, environmental profile and ease of disposal.
At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to: identify the desired traits of disinfectants, develop a greater understanding of disinfectant product labels, ensure that the method of application will meet the facilities needs and delve into practices for using disinfectants to minimize occupational health and safety concerns. This session will be of interest to anyone involved in the selection of products and implementation of cleaning and disinfection programs.

These are the brightest minds in cannabis growth, sharing experiences, best practices and goodwill amongst growers. And this camaraderie will come in handy as the push for industry standardization grows. They’ll talk about a year of challenges, adjusting to regulations, and offer insight into how Health Canada can adjust its role to promote better growing and cannabis quality. Many relationships were forged among growers last year, and it’s not far-fetched to see a future advocacy group forming over the lunch table.

A&L Labs is a leading Health Canada Accredited Cannabis testing facility. Since offering this service, A&L has been approached by many cannabis customers asking for software solutions to various challenges they face in their operations. The most common request was for a program to capture the variables in the Growing process. A&L offered a growing program to greenhouse industry for years before the Cannabis market was legalized. This system was modified to meet the needs of the Cannabis industry through their Internal Software Development group, ALink. A modular concept has been developed, so customers can control cost by purchasing only the services they need. In Addition to the Grow Module, AL CannTrace, offers a planning module and an inventory Management module (for consumables and non- Cannabis items). ALink is partnering with Document Management, Data Management and Accounting Software providers to cover all the needs of the industry. All software is written with open source text to allow data sharing between existing programs and AL CannTrace when the exiting software allows it. Existing Hardware will also be used whenever possible to minimize implementation costs to our clients. A&L is excited to add software solutions to the services we provide to our Cannabis Customers!

HVAC equipment and its electric power are the most costly aspect of summer cannabis production. Ceasing greenhouse production during the hot and humid months to grow outdoors is a considerably less expensive option. Learn how to maintain pest-free yield and quality while providing the growing practice customers are looking for.
Proper soil health, fertility, drainage, and irrigation are the basis of lucrative outdoor crops. Selecting suitable cultivars, planting them on appropriate dates, eliminating all male plants, pruning for maximum buds, harvesting at optimal maturity, and protecting valuable CBD’s and terpenes with gentle handling are all important practices. You can insure timely crops with occasional use of inexpensive retractable tunnels.
