Annaliese Kibler. Annaliese is a consumer, plant scientist, and avid ambassador of Cannabis. Annaliese completed a BSc. and MSc. in Plant Biotechnology & Agriculture from the University of Guelph, with a focus on medicinal and endangered plant species.
She began her career in cannabis production & research when the MMPR first came into effect in 2014. Combining her love of cannabis & community, she continues to work in the industry at Aurora Cannabis Inc since 2015 in a variety of roles and is currently the Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Annaliese is an active member in the community and is a former co-chair of Women Grow in Vancouver, a co-founder, and current VP of Operations at CaneXions, hosting and supporting events for womxn in the cannabis industry. She is a trained Cannatherapy Consultant, supporting enthusiasts and their intentional use of cannabis and hosts local learn to grow personal cannabis for the public. She is also member of University, Conference and ACMLA advisory boards supporting their development of programs. She is an international speaker and has presented at a variety of events on the topics of cannabis compliance, product development, plant sciences, and patient advocacy.
In 2020 she purchased a 7-acre farm outside of Edmonton, AB, and received an Industrial Hemp Licence to become a certified Canadian Hemp Farmer!
