Annaliese Kibler, Director of Regulatory Affairs for Aurora Cannabis. Annaliese is a consumer, plant scientist, and an avid ambassador of Cannabis. Annaliese completed a BSc. and MSc. in the Plant Biotechnology & Agriculture from the University of Guelph, with a focus on medicinal and endangered plant species.
She began her career in cannabis production & research when the MMPR first came into effect in 2014. Combining her love of cannabis & community, she continues to work in the industry at Aurora Cannabis Inc in a variety of roles and is currently the Director of Regulatory Affairs. She recently had a scientific paper published for her master’s thesis on the Ayurveda medicinal plant, Holy Basil.
Annaliese is a former co-chair of Women Grow in Vancouver, a co-founder, and current VP of Operations at CaneXions, hosting and supporting events for womxn in the cannabis industry. She is a trained Cannatherapy Consultant, supporting enthusiasts and their intentional use of cannabis.
A member of University advisory boards supporting their development of educational programs for individuals interested in getting in the cannabis industry. She is an international speaker and has presented at a variety of events on the topics of regulations, product development, plant sciences and patient advocacy.
In 2020 she purchased a 7-acre farm outside of Edmonton, AB and received a Industrial Hemp Licence to become a certified Canadian Hemp Farmer!
