Hajira (pronounced Haj-ra; she/her) is a seasoned People and Culture professional with a focus on Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Strategic Workforce Planning. A self-proclaimed “(Cannabis) Recruiting Ninja” she integrates her degree in I/O Psychology (specifically, the Big Five Personality traits) to source, screen, and hire the right person for the right job at the right time.

Hajira has been in the cannabis industry since 2018 when she joined Auxly Cannabis. There she created and led the Talent Acquisition function during a time when Auxly and their Canadian subsidiaries were experiencing incredible growth in an otherwise unprecedented and brand-new industry. Guided by her belief in the provision of medicinal and recreational options to Canadians and by leveraging her network, she rapidly and efficiently scaled up Auxly’s workforce and provided employee support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hajira takes pride in her ability to forge and maintain lasting relationships as well as her involvement in Women in Cannabis and STEM initiatives. In her free time, she is an avid reader and keen to attend her first post-covid concert and comedy show this year!
