I am an active member with my company in the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce. I was the first in Canada to prompt our local Chamber of Commerce CEO to write an open letter in favour of consumption spaces which is available on the Tri Cities Chamber of Commerce website front page. We have been doing engagement with businesses, government, stakeholders, local, mayors, and BC legislative assembly MLA’s.
Aside from being on a bunch of podcasts, recently talking about our work, we are actively trying to get consumption spaces as a regulated, normal thing in society. It is the missing puzzle piece that tourism, the cannabis industry at large, and the consumers have all been wanting all along and for it to finally happen is our goal.
I have been actively using my event bar service as a benchmark and case study for how a serving it right protocol for cannabis in a live service scenario would look. We have developed proprietary methods and SOP’s that we use for ourselves to prevent over service, cross service, and how to properly dose with no adverse reactions.
I am garnering more engagement from indigenous leaders, government leaders, co-op organizations like RCCBC and the craft farmers association, and I am making a big push to make consumption spaces written into framework on a municipal and provincial level.
I have had a lot of experience since 2015 serving Cannabis at events in the legacy days both at other venues end at my shop I had close to Granville Island. I have hosted over 100 events with dab focused consumption and they have always been extremely professionally done, and drawing on our years of experience, we have more to bring to the table then most in regards to consumption.
