Kathy Mair

Aw:e:yo or Kathy Mair is from the Oswe:ge (Six Nations of the Grand River territory), belonging to the Gayogoho:no’ (Cayuga) Nation and Gayahde: (Turtle) Clan. Kathy has a deep commitment to her community, Kathy has worked in prominent First Nations organizations, including the Six Nations Justice Department, Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, Ministry of Indigenous Affairs, and the Six Nations Elected Council Chiefs Office. As the Chief Commissioner for the Six Nations Cannabis Commission, Kathy passionately advocates for the recognition and equality of First Nations Cannabis laws and regulations within the cannabis industry. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Kathy brings a wealth of academic knowledge and real-world experience to her role. Outside of her professional duties, Kathy enjoys golfing, watching football and hockey, and actively volunteers her time both on-reserve and in surrounding communities. She is dedicated to promoting the First Nations cannabis industry and fighting for equality for First Nations representation within the Cannabis industry. Kathy Mair’s unwavering dedication and passion for the First Nations cannabis industry, as well as her commitment to promoting recognition and equality, make her an invaluable asset in shaping a brighter future for Indigenous peoples across Canada.
