May Khatib holds a BSc Pure Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario and a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She joined the cannabis industry in pre-legalization in 2016 and had overall responsibility for 4 sites across Canada with an operational footprint of over 1 million square feet of indoor and greenhouse facilities with over 1000 employees. She lead the global compliance program which included supplier qualifications, GACP and GMP as well as oversite over the company’s import and export programs. With all this gained knowledge and experience, she founded Merit Method in July 2022, a regulatory compliance and marketing consulting firm dedicated to the support of small to medium-sized companies in the cannabis and psychedelics industry. The company’s team of experts specialize in licensing, certifications for export (GACP, GMP, etc.), fractional QA services and product marketing and launches for companies and brands in the Canadian and US markets.
