Ross takes great pride in his work as a cannabis grower and geneticist. He facilitates, plans, executes, and tests the selection and breeding of cannabis plants with the intent to continuously improve the cannabis gene pool. He does this by selecting and breeding for specific traits, such as improved plant performance and production in the areas of terpene/thc/cbd production, plant morphology, flower structure/density, higher yields, and shorter finishing times.
This work led Ross to form Alchemy Genetics in 2019, a company that enables cannabis cultivators to access Ross’ award-winning genetics. When asked why he does the work he does, he shares, “when I hear my work with the plant has helped change or improve someone’s life for the better in some form or capacity, [I feel proud].”
Ross currently resides on the traditional territories of the Anishinabewaki, Odawa, and Mississauga Nations, also known as Tiverton, Ontario, with his loving spouse, Sari.
