Sam Riches is a reporter and producer with Postmedia. Sam started covering cannabis in 2016 in the lead-up to legalization. He joined The GrowthOp in January 2020, where he writes a weekly newsletter, Weekend Dispensary, that focuses on stories from the world of cannabis and psychedelics. A former sportswriter, Sam’s work has been included as a notable selection in three editions of Best American Sports Writing and anthologized in Best Canadian Sports Writing.
