Sarah has been working with herbs for years and grew her first cannabis plants while studying Zoology at the University of Guelph in the ‘90s. In 1998, she moved ‘out West’ to join the growing medical cannabis movement, was introduced to the Vancouver Island Compassion Society and began a decade of activism with a front row seat at a few federal and provincial court cases involving friends and loved ones.
Sarah spent several years making cannabis edibles and managing House of the Great Gardener, an International award-winning seed company, while working a ‘regular’ job as Operations Manager of a busy digital print and publishing start-up. She completed a Commerce degree at Royal Roads University while working full-time.
In 2016, Sarah co-founded the Craft Cannabis Association of BC, a non-profit industry association created to support and promote small-scale independent businesses.
Sarah is currently a proud team member at Great Gardener Farms, a newly licensed micro cultivator in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.
