Siobhan McCarthy

Product Specialist, Formulator & Plant Medicine Educator:
Award-winning film and web series producer, creator, writer, and director, S. Siobhan McCarthy, is the CEO and Executive Producer of blyssful PRODUCTIONS and red trike media inc. McCarthy was recently profiled in Forbes Magazine.
blyssful ALCHEMY is an educational DIY workshop series educating people about plant medicines and holistic modalities.
A self-proclaimed urban gardener and kitchen witch, McCarthy’s interest in plant medicines came to be when she lived in Switzerland.
Shortly thereafter, she moved to Vancouver to study at U.B.C. where she garnered her Honours Degree in Theatre, Film and Creative Writing. She also studied plants, and plant medicines, after being disabled in a car accident, during her second year at University.
McCarthy was a consultant to Cannalife Botanicals as their Sales and Marketing Manager from 2015- 2018 where her experience in formulation, product development, marketing, sales and distribution (The Body Shop, Lush Cosmetics, Arbonne, Rodan + Fields.) helped grow the company from local recognition to national success. In the past six months, of her time at Cannalife, she shifted her focus to Manager of Corporate and Brand Development with a strong focus on Education and Community Outreach, before leaving the company on October 17, 2018.
In 2017- 2018 McCarthy was also the Sales and Marketing Director at the LP Emerald Health Botanicals’ Northern Vine Labs, one of the 18 labs approved by Health Canada for testing and researching cannabis. At Northern Vine, McCarthy created and spearheaded the #knowyourmedicine educational campaign, preparing the marketplace for the standardization of testing cannabis.
An avid dog lover, McCarthy also consulted with Creating Brighter Days an all-natural CBD line for dogs, cats and horses.
McCarthy is passionate about topicals and teaches people about the benefits of applying cannabis topically, as well as how to make their own topical medicines. She has been a guest speaker, advocating for cannabis and women’s health and sexuality at: LIFT Toronto, Ellementa Women, The Grassroots Cannabis Expo at UBC Robson Campus, Canndora Connect Vancouver 2019, The CannaLife Conference at The Westin Grand in Vancouver, as well as the Cannabis and Hemp Conference at UBC in 2018 and 2017. McCarthy has been a guest speaker on many podcasts including: The Green Crush with Alan Park, The Her(b) Life Sessions, Expert Joints with Craig X and Cannabis wiki’s, The Green Room
In 2019, under the auspices of blyssful ALCHEMY, McCarthy produced over 175 cannabis DIY workshops, classes, high teas, yoga classes, infused dinners and speciality educational events.
She worked with Tantalus Labs to create an educational pop up experience where she taught the community how to infuse “Cannatonic” – Tantalus Labs’ high CBD cultivar into coconut oil.
McCarthy has also galvanized her cannabis and film knowledge and shot blyssful ALCHEMY – a 13-part DIY Cannabis web-series that is currently in post-production.
In January 2020, Siobhan returned to her father’s homeland of Ireland, where she expanded her business into Europe by launching her CBD Topical line, blyssful ALCHEMY made in Dublin. She is the first company to work with one of the only Irish farms licensed by the HSE to grow and process CBD oil for the Irish marketplace.
As a consultant, McCarthy spearheaded the sales of JVCC’s direct delivery program before bringing her expertise to Tricanna Industries. McCarthy is excited to collaborate and formulate topicals with award winning LP Dabble Cannabis Co for their collaborative brand “Dabble into blyss”

McCarthy is a published writer who has written educational articles for CannaReps, Cova Software, The New Agora, Cannalife Botanicals and Stream Daily.

McCarthy’s companies red trike media inc. and blyssful PRODUCTIONS specialize in content creation, creating digital strategies, and acting as social media community managers for various broadcast / network properties and brands.
