Travis Lane is one of the owners of Martindale Farms, a Vancouver Island cannabis company that is focused on living soil growing, both inside and under the sun. Martindale’s primary site is a 4 acre field where Travis is working in his role of Master Grower to produce smoke-worthy outdoor flower that does not require any remediation.
With a long history of cannabis cultivation, extraction, and retail prior to 2018, Travis saw legalization as an inevitable outcome of widespread civil disobedience, and participated in lobby efforts to end prohibition in Canada. Since legalization, Travis taught a cultivation course at Camosun College, spent time as Executive Director at an indie publication called Inside The Jar, worked with a number of advocacy groups, and helped launch a few licensed cannabis companies.
Martindale Farms’ first products are expected to land in the BC marketplace in early 2026. Travis and his partners look forward to establishing a brand that represents old-school west coast quality, built on strong relationships with our friends in retail and respect for our fellow cannabis smokers.
