Yvan Guy Larocque

Yvan Guy Larocque, C.D., LL.M., is an Indigenous business lawyer at Miller Titerle + Company. Yvan works with Indigenous governments and businesses across Canada, providing legal advice on economic development, corporate organization and governance, commercial negotiations and agreements, mergers and acquisitions, land development, and taxation. Yvan has advised numerous Indigenous governments on the development of laws and processes related to the assertion of jurisdiction over the cannabis industry throughout their lands, and also advises Indigenous-owned and non-Indigenous entities operating businesses in the cannabis industry. He is also the Co-Author of “The Taxation and Financing of Aboriginal Businesses in Canada” and a Practicing Professional Instructor at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law. Yvan earned a Juris Doctor degree from Allard Law at UBC, with a Business Law Concentration and a Specialization in Aboriginal Law, and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Business Law Specialization.
