9th Annual Growers Luncheon
The Grower’s Luncheon is a complimentary invite-only event presented by Biofloral and Grow Opportunity. These are the brightest minds in cannabis growth, sharing experiences, best practices and goodwill amongst growers. And this camaraderie will come in handy as the push for industry standardization grows. They’ll talk about a year of challenges, adjusting to regulations, and offer insight into how Health Canada can adjust its role to promote better growing and cannabis quality. Many relationships were forged among growers last year, and it’s not far-fetched to see a future advocacy group forming over the lunch table.
Please note that limited seating will be available for this event. If you are a grower (Commercial, Micro, Home and Legacy) and would like to be invited to the Grower’s-Only Luncheon, please fill out the registration form by clicking the button below:
Hair Regrowth with Novel Hemp Extract- A Case Series
Join Dr. Gregory Smith showcases results of hair regrowth with novel cannabis extract. Cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) and cannabidivarin (CBDV) are all phytocannabinoids found in cannabis.
The case series showed an average 139% increase in hair numbers after six months of use.
Light in the Fast Lane: Dynamic Advances in Lighting
Not all PPFD is created equal. From light intensity, photoperiod length, light spectrum and the interconnectedness of these variables is revealing new heights to cannabis’ genetic potential whether yield, potency or secondary metabolite expression. Join our lightning experts Casey Rivero (Fluence) and Jan Chechalk (Signify) as they go behind the lens of what’s new and what’s good in cannabis lighting.
Quality Assurance for Micros – what you need to know!
Micro and craft cannabis cultivators make it easy for QAP because they grow great product, but they make it so hard for QAP for so many other reasons. Join Rebekah Brooks (Qualium Consulting) and Dustan MacLean (Parkland Flower) as they share solutions to the challenges faced when addressing quality assurance.
Tipping Point – The Balance of Living Soil Organics
Mimicking nature seems like an easy concept until you put on expectations that are not natural. High-yielding and optimal quality cannabis from an LSO system requires increased inputs from water, to nutrients, to light intensity, to microbes. Join our experienced growers Genevieve Newton (Stewart Farms), Brandon Giberson (High Craft Farms), Bryan Grasdal (Rocky Mountain Farms), and Nathan Knechtel (Black Swallow Living Soils) as they share their thoughts on the fine balance of growing in living soils.
The Not-so-Usual Suspects – Novel approaches to pests and pathogens
Cannabis cultivation is evolving, but so too are insects and diseases that affect cannabis. Fortunately, integrated pest management experts Anoo Solomon (CannaProtectIPM); Claude Robert (Anatis Bioprotection); Kelly (Bio Bee) are here to share what’s new for your IPM toolbox.
Crop steering with dry-back – What’s working and what’s not?
Transpiration before irrigation – is it that simple? Managing the rootzone can make or break your garden. Fertigation techniques and dry back in various media affect nutrient uptake which can help drive your plants in the direction you want them to go. It’s not that simple. Join George Dickinson (Growhaus Supply); Adam Iwanowski (PharmHill); Sean MacDougall (EastCann) ; Stacie Hollingworth (Safari) and Brendon Roberts (Crop Care) for a spirited discussion.
