Before joining Valens, Scott spent 16 years in the beverage alcohol industry, beginning his career as a merchandiser, progressing through increasingly accountable senior sales and marketing roles from Senior Director of Sales with Mark Anthony Brands to leading one of the Okanagan’s most iconic winery estates as General Manager of CedarCreek Estate Winery. In 2018 Scott transitioned into the Cannabis industry with GTEC (Avant), where he led initial provincial launches of the BLK MKT and Tenzo while overseeing the B2B business before joining Valens in 2020. Scott is a creative problem solver and innovator with a strong track record of developing talent, building engagement, and leading high-performing, results-driven teams while leveraging lessons learned throughout his career built on a foundation of international competitive sports experiences at the university level.
